Xavier Cepeda is the resident boxing coach. He started training
in boxing as a teenager in high school and competed in amateur boxing in
college. He has trained with coaches from Texas, New Mexico, Cuba, and Mexico.
Xavier coaches with a Mexican style of boxing classified as a boxer/puncher
style. One dimensional fighters are only as good as their opposition, thus a
boxer must be able to box and also know how to stand and slug. He believes
firmly in never putting faith in one style of boxing but rather takes from all
styles that which works best. Xavier “el Mago” Cepeda works with amateur, and
pro boxers, as well as amateur and pro MMA fighters. The measure of a coach or
trainer is in his fighters.
